Overview
- The alleged assault, reported shortly after midnight on Easter Sunday, began when a woman in her 20s and a friend shared a taxi outside the Blues pub in Lowestoft.
- Police say an unknown man also entered the cab to The Volunteer on London Road North and then led the woman toward an alley near the junction of Arnold Street off Milton Road East.
- After the attack, the suspect reportedly fled on foot via London Road North and into Gordon Road.
- Suffolk Police arrested an 18-year-old Lowestoft man on suspicion of rape and took him to the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
