12 Booked in MP Excise Constable Exam Fraud as Case Moves to Ratlam Police

ESB forensics flagged monitor swaps with a late surge of correct answers.

Overview

  • The Employee Selection Board cancelled the candidature of 12 test-takers and filed a cheating complaint through principal system analyst Pranit Sijaria at Bhopal’s MP Nagar Police Station.
  • The investigation has been transferred to Ratlam district police because the alleged irregularities occurred at a Ratlam exam centre in September 2025.
  • Time-based analysis flagged “High Strike Rate” anomalies in which candidates rapidly scrolled the paper, stayed inactive, then posted an unusual burst of correct responses near the end.
  • CCTV review and an internal probe indicated the 12 had their computer monitors replaced minutes before lab entry and appeared to receive help, possibly from a common individual.
  • The ESB’s report outlined suspected methods that include screen manipulation, external answer relay or insider facilitation; nine accused are from Bhind and Morena, two from Haryana and one from Agra.
