Overview
- 11 Bit Studios used its annual results to confirm a ground-up remake of This War of Mine, a new Frostpunk entry that is not a city builder, and two unannounced games codenamed P12 and P14, separate from Frostpunk 1886.
- In an earnings call, CEO Przemysław Marszał said the This War of Mine reimagining will use Unreal Engine, is in concept now, aims to start development mid-2026, and targets a 2028–2029 launch.
- Marszał said the next Frostpunk game shifts the series into a different genre, is in early prototyping, and currently carries a 2028–2029 release target.
- Executives stressed these are not simple remasters but fresh, modern builds designed for multi-year lifecycles with post-release updates shaped by player feedback.
- The company reported stable finances with about 545,000 copies sold for The Alters and Frostpunk 2 nearing 880,000, and it set nearer-term plans that include Moonlighter 2 in 2026, paid Frostpunk 2 DLC starting in June, more DLC for The Alters around late Q2, and Frostpunk 1886 around 2027–2028.
